Are you guys ready for some more new music from Miley Cyrus?!
After releasing her track “Ashtrays and Heartbreak” with Snoop Lion, the singer teased that she just might have a new single to share with the world during Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards—and that’s exactly what’s happening.
Cyrus took to Twitter tonight and revealed that the title of her new song is “We Can’t Stop.”
“Cats outta the bag! LETS TREND MY 1st SINGLE #wecantstop,” she wrote. And Miley got just that.
“#WeCantStop is the NUMBER ONE trending topic worldwide!,” Cyrus tweeted less than 10 minutes later. “Retweet if you can’t wait till I release #wecantstop @MikeWiLLMadeIt…We can’t stop TRENDING #wecantstop.”
Although the title is now out in the open, it looks like Miley still has plans to surprise fans on Sunday: “Big announcement about #wecantstop coming @billboard.”
Could it be a performance?!
Miley Cyrus has been urging fans on Twitter this week to head to their nearest store and grab a copy of BFF and fellow former Disney star Demi Lovato’s brand new album ‘Demi’, which was released in the US this week.
The ‘Give You’re Heart A Break’ star has been promoting the album across America this week, opening up about what could possibly be her rawest collection to date.
Maxim’s sexiest woman of the year, Miley tweeted the X Factor USA judge encouraging fans: “Pick up her new album now #goonwichyabadself.” (sic)
Unlike Miley, who has appeared in several films since ending her Disney Channel series Hannah Montana, Demi has stayed away from acting since the finale of her own show, Sonny With A Chance.
But she is open to a return, writing on Twitter yesterday in response to a fan: “Maybe one day! Right now my focus is on my music!!”
During an interview with MTV for a ‘Demi Lovato: Live From MTV’ special the 20-year-old revealed that during the recording of her fourth album she wowed producers by free-styling some of the lyrics for emotional number ‘Shouldn’t Come Back’.
She also discussed her upcoming appearance on the X Factor USA, reprising her role as judge and Simon Cowell’s favourite frenemy, teasing fans that “there might be a judge announcement next week.”
Miley Cyrus is currently winning the best daughter award. Just one day after the singer celebrated Mother’s Day with her family, the blond beauty took to Twitter to wish her mama, Tish, a happy birthday, kindly taking 31 years off the mother of five’s true age.”Everyone wish my mama @tishcyrus a very happy 22nd birthday
love you MT!!!!!,” the “Ashtrays and Heartbreaks” singer posted on her micro-blogging page. Although Tish may look 22, Billy Ray’s wife is actually turning 53 today, but like a good daughter, Miley chose not to divulge her mama’s real age to her nearly 12 million followers. But that’s not all the former Hannah Montana star’s been saying on the social media site today. Liam Hemsworth’s fiancée also shared an adorable photo this morning where she’s laying in bed with her dog Mary Jane. “Good morning Tweets! (you spy a little MJ paw),” she wrote. Looks like a good morning indeed.
Miley Cyrus took to Twitter on Sunday to both rip Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez’s fans who attack her, and to urge her base to not do the same to them and other singers.
She wrote, “Everyday someone with a Swift or Gomez in there name wishes terrible things upon me (death is popular).”
Cyrus then urged her fans, “Please Smilers don’t ever think somehow you are supporting me by being hateful towards other artist. My fans make me proud by supporting my music & everything I do.”
“Im sure these haters would make their idols much happier tweeting bout their music rather than wishing death upon their peers like psychos,” she further tweeted.
Cyrus later added about Swift and Gomez: “We are all friends. Why can’t you all be?”
Um, earth to media: Engaged women don’t wear their engagement rings 100 percent of the time, mkay?
There’s been some speculation about Miley and her fiance Liam Hemsworth’s relationship of late because (gasp!) Miley has been spotted WITHOUT HER RING ON. Seriously?! (ICYMI, Miley posted a photo on her Twitter page showing her brandishing her bling.)
Sure, you would think that an engaged gal would never want to take her diamond off her finger—and I certainly felt that way the moment my guy put a ring on it—but the fact is, after a couple months, I forget to wear mine all the time. And I always take it off before going to the gym now after getting a couple of ring-induced blood blisters. So, when I’m bopping around town, I’m probably only wearing my ring about half the time. Not a big deal.
I think it’s a bit ridic that gossip sites determine a couple’s relationship status based on whether or not a chick is wearing her engagement ring—especially how they’re so quick to declare “it’s over” the moment she’s spotted without it. It’s happening with Miley now and it’s happened with tons of other couples (namely Khloe and Lamar).
Bottom line: How about we just leave Miley and her rock alone for a bit?
Miley Cyrus is celebrating after her Twitter.com followers responded to her plea to back a petition calling for a horse carriage ban in New York, and hitting her target number of signatures within minutes.
The singer/actress’ family has long supported the animal-advocacy group New Yorkers for Clean, Liveable & Safe Streets’ (NYCLASS) campaign to do away with horse-drawn carriage rides in the Big Apple.
Cyrus’ younger sister Noah even marked her 13 birthday in February (13) by urging fans to add their names to the online petition – and her fight clearly rubbed off on the former Hannah Montana star, who turned to her Twitter army on Tuesday (19Mar13) to grab the final 761 signatures needed to reach 100,000.
The goal was hit just 11 minutes after Miley made her request on her Twitter page, and she tweeted her delight, “You all made my mama and all the horses so happy! My fans really do come in handy.”
Cyrus’ mother Tish, who has long been an advocate of the drive, added, “I cannot believe this! I keep watching the numbers grow on the website! This is incredible! WOW.”

Also, the news that will.i.am would collaborate wih Miley on his new album appeared. The Black Eyed Peas singer’s fourth album will be called #Willpower and will be released on April 23. The song Miley will be featured on is rumored to be called “Fall Down“.

The Hannah Montana star’s relationship with fiance Liam Hemsworth has been under close scrutiny ever since rumours – reported by US Star Magazine – surfaced claiming he’d got close to January Jones at a pre-Oscars party.
But Miley – who’s currently working on a new album – took time out of her busy schedule to deny recent claims her wedding had been cancelled.
She wrote: “I am so sick of La. And sick of the lies that come with it. I didn’t call off my wedding.
“Taking a break from social media. #draining,” she added.
Liam and Miley first announced their engagement back in May last year, while the pair first started dating as they filmed The Last Song in 2009.
When Miley Cyrus first jumped on the gluten-free bandwagon, I have to admit, I was rolling my eyes. As someone related to and friendly with people who grapple with legit celiac disease, it’s beyond irritating to watch people do it as a “trendy” diet. Where did she get off swearing off gluten if she didn’t have to? I wasn’t alone … and a lot of skeptics were questioning whether or not Miley was just using a gluten-free diet as a lame-o excuse for some kind of eating disorder. But I’m not so sure …
Just yesterday, she shared some details of what happens when she diverts from her gluten-free lifestyle, tweeting, “I now remember why I never eat pizza. It makes me feel like sh*t. #glutenized.” Apparently, some people read that tweet and thought she was lamenting “feeling fat” … !? Cue the backlash!
Of course people would have reason to be livid or concerned if she was actually calling herself fat or seemed to think eating pizza made her fat, but when she said she felt like “sh*t” from pizza, I am positive she wasn’t talking about her weight. And she even clarified for followers who misunderstood, tweeting:
Let me clarify “sh*t” wasn’t meaning “fat” I mean sick. Because gluten is poisoning me. Your stomach has a brain too & it hates SH*T food.
Many people who have cut gluten — and just dairy or gluten and dairy — out of their diet for a significant amount of time could empathize with Miley. Because even when you’re not sensitive to either food, I’ve heard people do feel better when they go without ‘em. Which isn’t really that surprising, being that both can be inflammatory and cause tummy troubles. And it sounds like Miley has experienced issues like that — and actually felt sick — when she’s occasionally chowed down on conventional pizza.
In other words, as she noted in a follow-up tweet, “It’s not about weight it’s about health.” I really believe Miley’s diet tweets had nothing to do with an eating disorder. And everything to do with a lifestyle that works better for her overall wellness. Good for her. Hopefully her clarifying tweet sets the record straight.
